Not another "Not without my daughter case"

I have been told by a friend that a girl from Louisiana could end up in the Middle East unless the court then decides to put her in a strict religious boarding school instead.

After having seen some webpages about the school I am not sure whether it would be better than being sent to the Middle East, being whipped and married away to a husband twice your age and then being knocked up with a child.

They are calling this ranch - Diamond Ranch Academy - the hell ranch.

It is a hard choice for the 17 year old Victoria - being thrown into the ashes or into the fire.

I did only believe it could happen in the Middle East or Africa

I recently saw this page about schools in Somalia:

Domestic prisoners of conscience's blog

Here in my town our social services are involved in trying to get children back home to Denmark from various countries in the Middle East or Africa. I didn't believe it could happen inside the United States too.

Rather shocking.

Just imaging how to be the child who find him or her-self cut totally off from what they have known so far.

Awful!!
