Private banishment of children - there should a law against it in every country

Imagine living the most of your life in a country. Then one day your parent offer you a holiday to the old country where you family came from. Once you arrive you discover that it was a one-way trip.

Your parent(s) want to start a new life without you.

That is what happened to Sofia Roberts from Fairfax in Virginia.

Her mother wanted a new family - without Sofia, so she arranged for Sofia to go on a holiday in Siberia where some of Sofia's family still lived. Now Sofia is stuck there and has been so for two years.
