Should we not just forget Trump and move on

What I saw during the last 24 hours I will properly never forget. If I ever had a dream about visiting the United States once this Chinese virus is dealt with, the dream is gone.

What I saw was a country in its last stages before break-up. Biden might be able to keep it together but then it will require that Trump use his last days in office pardoning himself, his family and helpers from present and future legal proceedings and just retire to play golf.

What I read is that democrats plan til continue making the media focus on an investigation of Trump. That would continue the bitterness caused not by Trump but by many administrations before going back to Reagans time when the United States raised it agelimit for alcohol to 21.

It was back then that the society began to be divided. Once young people stop drinking alcohol together as they do in Denmark when they are aged 14-15, they stop talking and socializing together under parental guidance. Everybody minds their own business and their own career and stops caring about the neighbor or distant relative or old schoolmates.

Everything is about getting success. As result many people are forgotten. They work ordinary jobs but they see jobs being moved abroad. They see the school nearby closing down. Their chance of real education or even attending university gone. They stop believing in the system. This is the people who marched into Capitol Hill yesterday and was gunned cruely down by the security.

There is no easy fix. There are no solution in procecuting Trump for having been selected to office by ordinary people because it is the very structure of the country which is wrong and damaged.

We in the rest of world is also to blame. We are too depended of the United States. Surely the United States should be given time to rebuilt schools in their local communities so every student regardless of birthplace can be given the chance to attend an university nearby putting the student into reach of the good jobs. Surely they need to time renegociate every trade agreement so the cost of bringing in goods is the same as bringing out goods from the United States.

They need time so the citizens can regain trust in politics. So they can see local people being elected to their parliament. People who is not elected because they have a good name or belongs to a old family of politicians, but people who care about the voters, they represent and deal with local issues instead of all the international ones.

We see the very same in Europe. Yellow vests in France. Parts of London destroyed as result of rioting. Norrebro in Copenhagen where you need army protection due to gang shootings.

In Denmark we fight crime by tearing down parts of our cities where the poor live. The ghettoplan will remove large parts of Danish cities forcing the poor to move out to the countryside where their children will lose every chance from ever getting a shot of an university education or a good job. We are following in the path of the United States. Christiansborg could be the next Capitol Hill.

This needs to be stopped. We need to lower our drinking age to 15 from 16. We need the 7000 cheap apartments in Copenhagen where students can live. We need the Danish government to active care about our work enviroment instead of leaving it up to the employers and a minority of the labor unions who just happen to support certain parties in our parliament.

We need to retake the power from the European Union so we once again can support farmers and other small firms vitimized by the Chinese Covid-19 virus so they can be supported and compensated for their losses during the pandemic.

But most important for the United States is now to move on. Forget Trump so you do not get stuck in the past.
