Whenever I work I don't care whether the sub-contractors I hire keep the speed limits. If they do their job faster than planed we are all happy despite whatever cost this extra speed may cost.

I find that such firms are just plain evil. The workers give all they got and then they don't care about their employees. Fact is that it is hard to find a country in the world where normal people are worse off than Denmark where they speed limits are so incredible low that you have no pleasure in life. I am against aid to 3. world countries because we have firms like this in Denmark. The suffering in 3. world countries we experience on various media are not hard enough compared with what we have to endure due to our politicians and firms like Per Aarsleff.

I want to see more suffering from abroad next year. In Denmark your child cannot get a restraining order when the social services try to "help" the child by placing it in an abusive foster family or a group home where there is 2 cases of sexual molestation in Denmark every single month.

If you abuse a child placed by the social services you hardly gets any punishment. Just last month a therapist got only 60 days because he forced a 15 year old girl to give him oral sex.

That's why the parents had enough and they are protesting in front of our parliament tormorrow between 12 and 15.

Is the corruption widespread in the US justice system

I happened to watch the Lindsay Lohan hearing online because my son showed me the possibilities with his new Laptop.

I don't understand why it was a violation of probation to work for the Red Cross. Community service is community service regardless of where it was done. The probation department should be able to decide on their own if cheating is involved.

Unless - of course if certain facilities pays the courts to receive more criminals so they can make a fine business out of it. They have betrayed the workers in the computer business when they made a deal with the computerfirm CSC about a very low pay for computer work.

Now you can work in a shop or as an ordinary office assistant and get the same salery as if you was working as computer specialist.

It leaves no future for those considering that line of work.

Also it seems that they have imported a lot of small people from India working a cop of rice who took the work from Danish workers. Some might have heard of the former humanitarian and author Niels Holck who is wanted because he aided MI6 and the central government who wanted to destabilize a region inside their artificial country.

In reality there should not have been any India. They are a bunch of small former kingdoms put together for some kind of political purpose none seems to remember and people who just want to live apart from New Delhi are forced to be citizens like the people in Punjab who would be better of being a part of Pakistan.

But anyway he should have been the nice guy regardless of the fact that MI6 should have been our friends and the communists who ruled that part of India used to kill whoever dared to cross their path.

One of former prime ministers visited India some years back wanting India's support so Copenhagen could host COP15 and to let their experts pull our old ships apart in quietness. He came back with a prize. We should start an extradition case so they could silence him. The operation went wrong and someone covered for him. He simply knows too much. Putin and Tony Blair rescued their citizens and properly got a good deal in the process.

But there was a problem. In a superior culture and democracy like ours we do things by the book. So when they came by this week with an expired warrant they were sent home being told to doctor new charges against the Danish humanitarian. It took them almost a full week.

I remember reading a book by Georges Remi where a reporter ended up in India following a drug lord. This rather accurate picture of the India culture left an impression telling me that they live a rather simple life down there trying to find simple solutions for their problems.

Newflash!

The world is complicated. Paper work needs to be in order. Otherwise you may just as well stay home.

CBI as their police seem to be named learned a lesson when they came to town with the 4 o'clock train.

But the real issue is that tourist, students and other Danes should stay away from India. All for too long the politics designed by the people in the Danish people party has told us that our parents came to Denmark to work in low paid jobs and as result we are expected to serve in such jobs too.

And it is true that it is difficult to find a country where the social heritage matters so much as in Denmark.

Youth who manage to get a higher education is most likely to have parents with the same level of higher education. It you are from the working class, then forget all about education.

The rich people have hired students to hunt down classmates who have copied books instead of buying them because the books used in education in Denmark are overpriced because they are a part of the salery the teachers earn.

The government has recently worked to remove student grants for people over 18 expecting their parents to pay for them which would be possible only by rich parents.

Most immigrants and poor people have given up about their education as they could see that it would be impossible.

Now Amanda Jacobsen is living proof that you can break that circle. She arrived in Denmark in 1984 from Iran. She changed her name to a Danish one as recommended by many teachers because most Danish firms would prefer Danish workers and she made her resume quiet colorfull because a lot of firms are in fact lazy and have outsourced the work of hiring people to various firms competing for the cheapest price.

Resumes in Denmark are not checked as they should be. In the old days the firms took in new workers when they knew the parents of a applicant or the stole workers from a competing firm. But in the end they had too few options when the old workers retired and now it is way easier to fool yourself into a Danish firm because the firms believe that they need foreign workers and new inputs to compete in a globalized world.

Amanda Jacobsen did show us the way to money and jobs. She has made us believe that we have a chance.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://crybabydanishimmigrant.blogspot.com/2011/03/yes-you-can-get-career-i-denmark-as.html' title='Yes! I remember that fear that you feel when you know that your child is isolated from the warm and love in your family unit. I remember how difficult the logistic was. He smoked tobacco which is a human right and they had to stand out in the cold long before it became law for the rest of the population.

Such hardship proved to be an awful test for him. It was certainly not something I as a responsible parent ever would have allowed my child to be exposed to.

Back then I feared for his life as he was forced to eat some different food than we as family was used to. They also had some wilderness expedition where he was exposed to the harshness of the elements.

In the end he survived although marked by the difficult period away from us.

I understand that the level of danger for the students involved in the capsizing in the ocean of course was higher. They are not as strict as boarding schools abroad or at least so I am told.

But they do offer a some alternative lifestyle suited for those in our society who wants Danes to forget their social heritage and position themselves to a more globalized world where traditions and social standings in every of our small communities are forgotten and erased.

But do we not have a thousand year old culture which we need to deliver knowledge about to our children before they go out and make their impact on the world. How can we give them good tradition Danish values when we back out of the parenting role before time and leave it to some closed boarding school environment to give our children our values and learn our firm standards of character?

I fear that they are left without essential parts of their social heritage if they leave the family unit too soon. Denmark is a society where social heritage matters even up to the royal family. The result is peace and low crime when people in general know what they can make of life and how important it is to act properly because you know that your children will not be born equal with the rest of the children but they will start out from the level in our society you have achieved.

The youth culture of a country must never been equal with being confined in a boarding school where their individual character is shaved off so they can fit in the enclosed group at all cost. We need people who have a social heritage which stand out, so they can be leaders rather than just anonymous followers. You cannot create a peer group leader; you can only find the individual.

Some Danish firms use a lot of money trying to build the careers of their employees. It is a fatal mistake. Team-building based on sharing a single glass of wine or a beer Friday afternoon is the only thing which works. Luckily most firms realize that.

The families can learn from the firms. They can keep their children in the local schools. They can improve the social status of their child by hosting parties at home instead letting the children hang around in the cities. They can cooperate with volunteers in biker clubs who host parties for the local youth now where most of the parties hosted by schools or the authorizes has been targeted against minorities in the society which practice a more restricted form of partying.

The government has realized that the numbers of teenagers attending the boarding schools are too high and it has proven to be too costly for our society. They have introduced cuts and of course the boarding schools are protesting. It is a shameful form of marketing because the reason for the cuts is not ideology. It is necessary because Denmark almost singlehanded has decided to pay the debts of countries like Greece for no reason. We in Denmark all have to bear our burden. The boarding schools should take responsibility instead. It would certainly suit them.

They are complaining about risk of losing clients. They should not fear. The authorities in a lot of towns have troubled teenagers which they can ship to the boarding schools instead of the juvenile halls. There are parents who originally wanted to ship their children off to some third world country where they could be teach into submission by the use of corporal punishment which is forbidden in Denmark and therefore under watch by the social services. They can use the boarding schools instead. So where is the possible lack of students?

I had a son in one of these boarding schools, which you can read something about if you two years back. It was a terrible ordeal for both him and me as parent, which I wish for no other parent to relive.

Therefore consider me biased, but I truly believe that we all have to bear the burden our politicians have put upon us - also the boarding schools.

I did only believe it could happen in the Middle East or Africa

I recently saw this page:

Domestic prisoners of conscience

Here in my town our social services are involved in trying to get children back home to Denmark from various countries in the Middle East or Africa. My son did smoke and at the time our so-called parliament suggested to raise the agelimit for tobacco to 18, which would have meant that I should had driven to the boarding school which was rather remotely located a lot of times.

I was lucky to have him back before the politicians decided to remove this freedom from our teenagers.

However they didn't stop there. Now they are looking at the alcohol our children consume. What is their point? Do they want us to integrate and become real Danes or is it just another excuse to toughend up against immigrants. The only way we can get native Danes to open up is to drink beer or wine with them. The same goes for our children. They will forever be known as the foreigners if they don't drink with their peers.

In many towns groups of parents arrange bag-parties for teenagers. It is a secure party-environment where the teens can enjoy themselves with alcohol but without any greater risk.

Those parent groups are under fire right now. The police wants more money from our politicians and it demands crimes committed. By disallowing the parties and suggesting that the teenagers might party with various youth gangs it is certain that a raise in juvenile crime is waiting just around the corner.

Thailand is no longer a country for tourists

The military decided to go in and remove the protesters.

By choosing this method they have now called for a 15 year ban for visits to their country.

They could have chosen another path. Thousand of lobbyists hangs around the politicians paying for dinners, girls and any other activity the politicians enjoy.

How many lobbyists are living in Brussels and what kind of money goes to the politicians. No one knows because once you remove the bizarre surroundings they work in their acitivities become even more secret. We need to laugh at them in order not to react violent due to the harsh conditions they put us in.

It has become a struggle to survive in Denmark. The only difference between the people living in the fields after the earthqueke in Haiti is that we have a television to watch them in. As long as we have this little difference in quality of live, we are happy because then we know that some out there in the world has it a little worse than us.

All our torment, this evilness of cutbacks in schools, care of our elderly who in some cases have to use a diaper for number 1 twice (it can be turned) and closing of hospitals so we have to travel so far that our cars will run out of gas if we don't stop for a refill and a stay in a motel, can be traced back to the politicians in Brussels.

But still we don't choose to arming ourselves. Our police arrests 1,000 of people just to target two criminals but at least they don't use snipers.

That is the difference between democracy with the necessary curruption as we like it and dictatorship.

Thailand did choose another path. Not only by shooting at the protesters but also because they blackmailed an innocent Danish boy a year back.

So please stop traveling there.

They don't need your money to celebrate that they are good at killing people.

My God - can your own government do that?

I just read that a confidential DEA report explains that it was our former minister of justice - Lene Espersen - who called the former U.S. embassador Cain in to order him to let the DEA demand Camilla Broe extradited.

And it doesn't stop there. An article from the Danish newspaper BT explains that they ordered the DEA to invent charges about 10 episodes with the narcotics smugglers. Our present chief of the police Reinmann gave the Americans a manuscript advising them how to fabricate their case. Apparently Americans must have little or no experience in writing charges down. Otherwise he wouldn't have done it.

I am quite shocked. It seems that her ordeal is fully based on that some politicians should achieve some political goal.

I am not blaming the DEA for allowing her back for a trial. It is free publicity for them that someone gives them a manuscript for a crime and all the have to do is to pick her up and issue a press release telling people that it doesn't matter for how long so-called criminals are on the run. They will be arrested in the end.

Most people know how Danes struggle with immigrants. I am a immigrant. I know my place and I know that I would never be accepted as a Dane on the same level with Danes who are coming from families who have lived in this the most developed country in the world for generations. I won't seek a shortcut which is associating with criminals. It is a solution sought by too many immigrants in Denmark. So many in fact that the newspapers are told to be quiet about the ethnic origins of a criminal to avoid accusations about racism.

I have not been in the United States but I guess that they see immigrants in the same way. I guess that they would like to tell immigrants that they should not come to the United States and take the jobs from ordinary tax-paying citizens and associate with criminals to get a job where their salery is coming from criminal acts. It seems that the wages Camilla Broe got for her work while she worked in the United States was profit from crimes.

In Denmark we always say that money does not smell. It should not matter how your employer gets his money to pay you for a legal job, but of course here we are talking law not morale. Of course if you work in a business who sells arms to countries in war, you must think about the victims in these wars. Of course you have to think twice before you walk in shoes made by small children who have just lost their diapers or drink a cola manifactored by a firm who have killed off employees from trade unions.

It does not made you a criminal in legal terms but you have a morale burden to answer for.

However here we are talking of actions which should never have reached the court systems. Danish tax-payers have paid for the actions of Espersen and Reimann - not Camilla Broe. It is unfair in a time where we are facing a financial crisis and people loose their jobs. It was expenses we could have avoided.

But more important the Danish parliament was mis-informed. It is against the law. Now we have no choice to ask members of our parliament to demand a vote of confidense. The present government must resign. The present minister of justice has a more serious problem explaining this case than he had explaining his role in a car accident months back.

Here is the articles:
Danmark bestilte udlevering af Camilla Broe, BT
DK bestilte udlevering af Camilla Broe, TV2

Why the silence in the Camilla Broe case?

When Camilla Broe was extradited to the United States under very little attention from the press due to the mass extradition of refugees from Iraq just days before, most Danes believed that it was just a matter of days before she would be placed in a show trial and handed some sentence of 60 years only to return home to be released.

After all most things pointed in a direction of a kind of exchange between Denmark and the United States where Denmark would receive a kind of reward (maybe a job for a high profile Dane) in exchange for her.

Then a judge steps in and has the courage to give a real judgment in this case which exposed poor and lazy work of the police. Not only did they take the woman down who gave them information of the entire case before court. They did it too late.

Then there is the conflict between the testimony given by a DEA agent and every political figure in Denmark. The DEA agent told - properly under oath - that it was the Minister of justice in Denmark who told them to use the Danish court system to have her extradited. It was denied 100 percent during a hearing in the Danish parliament. Someone is lying. It is not possible for both parties to speak the truth.

When the east high court gave the approval to have her extradited they specifically asked to have the statutes of limitation investigated in this case BEFORE she should leave the country. It was not done and now see the result.

Last but not least her case did not go before the Supreme Court because it was denied. By whom? By the same officials who could benefit from the extradition going through?

So much have been wasted for this single mother of a 10 year old girl. This case clearly shows that you are an easy prey if you choose to leave your country to make a life abroad. It is simply not worth it to take the risk. Life in Denmark has taught me the lesson that you have to keep your head low and mind your own business. Do not speak up.

Camilla Broe should have learned the lesson. She should have remained in Denmark. But she didn't. Instead she traveled to Florida where they have the second largest prison population. There she made mistake number two. She actually became a consultant and gave valuable advices to firms which wanted to expand their markets in Europe. She became successful instead of just to settle for a job as waiter or dish washer.

Here in Denmark you can make it as an immigrant, but like Camilla Broe you have to learn that you have to take the low-paid jobs as first generation immigrant. It doesn't matter if you were doctor back home. Your education doesn't count in a more advance culture. In fact not even a year in a US High school can be accredited in Denmark.

It is your grandchildren which can make it to high paid jobs. It is the lesson of life for immigrants in both Denmark and the United States.Making a mistake of going for success too fast is the only crime Camilla Broe did make and it is costing her the highest price these days.

COP15 is a joke

Well, I tried to warn people from entering Denmark in the days before COP15 started. After all, our parliament created a set of emergency laws to protect property from foreign vandalists. People didn't listen. They entered Denmark and now they complain about how hard it is to pay the price.

Look how a young man from Sweden tells his story about he was detained in the Guardian.

According to my book the police did everything the right way. They did what the state of emergency laws allowed them to do. If you think their actions are wrong please write our politicians who have given them the rather extreme power.

But what was the alternative?

Denmark has seen how football / soccer fans have created riots in Copenhagen before. Regardless of how motivated and patriotic our police force is they simply hadn't the tools to prevent riots previously. Then some politicians choose that Denmark should house COP15. The price was extremely high as we can read in our newspapers that India voted for us in return to receive the right to prosecute our human aid workers for fabricated crimes. However export from Denmark to India is important as we are a huge shipping nation. Old ships have to be deposed off somewhere and India seems to offer excellent service in that regard.

So Saturday almost 1,000 protesters were arrested. The next two days we are talking 200 protesters per day and the worst is still to come. According to sources among the protesters they will try to force themselves into the meeting during the next couple of days.

If the criticism of our police and their effort to maintain peace in our country isn't bad enough, even the so-called politicians seems to act as rioters themselves.

Here I am thinking of representatives of the so-called G-77 which is a club of nations we are paying for through our aid to the third world. The money we pay to them, but we could have made better use of here. Did we ever receive even small thanks from these moochers?

What is the purpose of the attack on the Danish text? We all know that the Danish text represent the solution for the Earth. Personally I believe that Mr. Lumumba was sent out on a mission to remove focus on Human rights violation in Sudan. His actions are a combination of getting 5 minutes of fame and to guilt-pay us into believes that we cannot criticize his President because they choose to commit ethnic cleansing.

He could have chosen COP16 to do that. His actions don't belong in Copenhagen. When we are talking about Denmark, we are talking about maybe one of a few nations on this Earth who pays the United Nations what they owe. I know that the reason that some like the United States withholds their payment is that there is corruption in the organization. But as member of the European Union we Danes know that in any larger international organization corruption is essential to keep low-paid officials working at all. They are simply naïve.

The so-called Danish text will be an excellent End declaration. I know that our secret police arrested a critic of the COP15 named Tadzio Müller when he was finished speaking at the conference. He will “disappear” for some time. I really don’t like to write about this more dark secret side of Denmark but I have to point out that security after 9/11 has become more important. I will send my hugs to his relatives. If you choose to protest that decision you will be arrested for sure.

The police has announced that they have a secret prison ready in a huge store room with cages for 500 people.

Also one of our large prisons is rebuilt based on old blueprint as it was during World War Two where the Germans ran it, so there will be room for 400 extra inmates. It will basically function as an Internment Camp for 40 days starting from the day the summit starts.

In relationship with the summit Denmark introduced some emergency laws. The basic outline is.

The police can detain you for 12 hours without charging you. There are no rules for how short a period there should be between the 12 hour periods. Some have been arrested not 30 minutes after they had been detained the first time. Your stay in Denmark could be extended for months.

If you are caught up in a riot and you block the police by just as little as sitting or lying down because you would not take part in the riots, you will be sentenced to 40 days in prison. If you have trouble getting away from a riot use violence against the other protesters until you are safe. The riots a couple of years ago showed that our courts functioned as rubber stamps during riots. They haven't the capacity to investigate the matter fully, language will be a barrier and they will generally follow the recommendation of the police.

Don't bring anything with you that could be interpreted as a weapon. Denmark has the toughest weapon law in the world. Possession of a scissors or a knife on public road will put you in jail for at least 7 days. The size doesn't matter. Even ordinary Stanley knives used for work has resulted in prison sentences for construction workers during lunch break if they failed to empty their pockets before leaving their workplace.

If you choose to travel to Denmark anyway even as a politician I have another plea for you:

Buy Danish!

Sex-workers will - as they do under every summit held in Copenhagen until now - have a lot of work because the 70% of the politicians and their workers who are just participating in the summit for a much needed break from their political work back home use them for various services.

However I have to point out that it is also common in relationship with summits in Copenhagen that some evil humans transport people from Eastern Europe and Africa to Denmark so these poor often young girls can work as prostitutes. I urge you to avoid buying services from these girls. Please do not support crime. Buy your services from the Danish sex-workers instead.

As an ordinary Dane I have to say that I just want to summit to be over with. Of course it results in some kind of official statement, but the politicians forget all about it when they return home as they have done with previous summits.

I know that we have done a lot to welcome the politicians who visit our country in relationship. Unfortunately one of the two most recognized leaders from Africa couldn't come. The leader of Sudan who has turned his country away from civil war has problems at home he need to address.

But the ender of Apartheid - Robert Mugabe - will turn up in Copenhagen. The hero and icon of a typical leader of a country in Africa will be there so he can steer the summit towards succesful goals. He had just had an easy task to governm his country so Danish students used this year to collect funds for schools in Zimbawe so he can silence the critics who stated that he would be unable to run the country in a way which would secure a proper schooling of children in his country.

We hope that he will enjoy his stay here. He is among the people we all hope will be able to reach results that can save the world at Copenhagen Climate Counsil,

I have to repeat the plea from the start of this blog-entry.

The climate of the world is NOT your issue or problem to worry about. Please leave it to those who have powers to change things for real.

Hopefully the United States will extradite criminals as we did

I saw that a number of CIA employee has been convicted in a court in Italy.

I hope that the Americans will be on a plane soon. The United States have been quick to demand so-called justice in the Camilla Broe case. The show trial they have cooked for her is supposed to start december 7 unless the honeymoon the prosecutor is on will delay the case further.

Of course the government in the United States could claim that the conviction is a kind of revenge due to an unfortunately accident where an Italian spy was killed in Iraq by U.S. troops. The Italian citizens have also not forgotten how the United States violated Italian airspace when they were going after the murders of the disabled Leon Klinghoffer. A rather dramatic stand-off between the soldiers of these two countries took place in an Italian airport.

There are evil blood between them and right now the Italian goverment already have one hostage - the Icon for an exchange student trip going wrong - Amanda Knox.

But the relationship between the United States and Italy is not of my concern. I happen to have stumbled over an article about Amanda Knox - a young American exchange student being framed on a murder in Italy.

Now they wont let her get access to independent forensic experts, so they can question the so-called evidence in the case.

I have to say so-called evidence.

Take my home. In my kitchen you will find knives. You will be able to find my DNA on them. Why?

Because I live here!

You will also be able to find DNA from the other members of my household on every knife in the kitchen because we happen to involve our children in the process of making food.

Amanda Knox and the murdered english woman none seem to remember the name on shared an apartment, so it is obvious that Miss Knox's DNA should be on every item they share in the home. It is hardly surprising.

Now we all know that they will find her guilty. She is without any real defense. There was never an intention of giving her a fair trial!!

Her case was a final warning that laws have changed in the world since 9/11. Now you cannot travel abroad and be secured a legal defense if something goes wrong. It is sad because it is important to secure travelers legal protection. It is not that people travel to another country with intention to commit a crime, but people are easy picked on when they are foreigners.

I remember a former Danish soccer player, who was sentenced to jail just because he happened to drive a car in a town where one of his teammates was involved in a traffic accident. I googled and found a website with more info about this case and some others where Danish citizens have become victims of xenophobia.

To make matter worse returning to your native country is not guarantee that you are safe. A Danish woman - Camilla Broe - was extradited on some very loose claims about her having covered up a crime made by a former boyfriend. She is facing a showtrial in Miami in December having left behind a 10 year old daughter.

It is as awful as it can get and I am so disappointed that the Danish courts let her go regardless of the fact that the charges they were presented for are far from those she is facing abroad. Then what is the point of letting Danish authorities look at the charges if they can be altered when she is leaving Denmark?

Anyhow the Amanda Knox case is for me marking an end to a period where families could allow their relatives to travel abroad and study. I would never let my children travel abroad.

Disbelief - it cannot take place in a democracy

I saw this article about some High School students, who are punished for - being High School students:

Teenagers sentenced in Prom Party Case, Greenville News

Well, a teenager who is a son of one of my co-workers want to travel to the United States to study a year in an American High School. His parents would not let him. I understand him. There is a lot of dangers connected to such an entreprise.

I would certainly not let my children take a year in this country. They are integrated Danes today and use alcohol as almost every other Danish High School students.

They will be thrown in jail within 14 days if they should live like under laws the American students suffer under.

Second of all there is the question of legal procecution later in life. As some kind of political deal our supreme court was not allowed to deal with the Camilla Broe case. A decision which most legal experts do not understand. The poor single mother of a 10 year old girl are in the process of saying goodbye for the last time to her daughter as she is waiting to be extradited on some bogus charges in Florida.

The real tragedy in this story is that Broe does not seem to understand that she is victim of a political setup. She is in the process to collect 300,000 Danish krones to cover the legal cost. Those of you who are naive can learn how to support her here:

www.camillabroe.com

But the sad truth is that the extradition agreement between Denmark and the United States are an invitation to plead guilty. Remember, she will return to Denmark within 6 month after she has got her sentence. However, if she choose to fight the trial will last between 3-6 years and it is likely that the prosecution will demand that she is detained while the trial is ongoing. She will be broken and the money will last nowhere.

Most legal expert would advise her to plead guilty to whatever charges they can invent, because a defense based on the battered woman syndrome is useless. It proved of no value in the Faye Copeland case.

She believes she is innocent and she is not aware that she should use the Alford plea when facing a setup like that which only leaves her the choice to give the prosecutors what they want or be broken in a cruel jail.

But back to the son of my co-worker. I hope that they are succesful in preventing him from taking a year as an exchange student. To live a year on very limited freedom is nothing to long for.

Just saw the most awful TV-show on Youtube

One of the Australian TV-channels purchased the program concept called “The world strictest parents”. It is a TV-show much like MTV’s “Exiled” where teenager are taken from their homes and placed in potential dangerous countries to live for a week.

While they are away they live like the locals at a host family. Host families used to be very used by controversial drug treatment programs. Survivors speak of unbearable torment.

This time two teenagers were sent to South Africa to live at a family who were farmers. They also had to go to rather mysterious school where the student had to wear school uniforms and march in some military formation like it was known in the former East-block countries until the totalitarian regime fell down.

It was just an awful episode to watch. Where were the teenagers happily drinking alcohol while learning about each other and sharing life experiences?

Do they not create murderers and violent people by enforcing such a strict structure in school? Yes, they do! South Africa is one of the most dangerous countries to live in when it comes to the amount of murders. In Denmark we know how important it is to let youth buy alcohol in an early age and let them drink with each other. Sadly we have learned it the hard way because when youth don’t drink alcohol they tend to marginalized themselves and form groups of youth with another social values than the common population. As stricter the school environment get, the larger risk of violence and anti-social behavior gets.

Right now the foreign departments in a lot of other countries warn tourists from visiting certain parts of Denmark where those non-drinking youth have armed themselves and are shooting at people who looks like they have owned or driven a motorcycle at some point.

It is groups who will support the terrorist behind the 9/11 attacks at any time. We know it because they did drive around the streets and celebrated that terrible act of terrorism when it did happen. It forced us to deliver the most damaging strike against the morale among the terrorists when we printed the pictures of some false prophet according to our religious belief.

I don’t know the reason for sending teenagers from a peaceful country like Australia to South Africa, but it’s just wrong. Danish youth is among the most reluctant you from traveling abroad and study. Of course part of this behavior is owned to the fact that the Danish education system is second to none worldwide. Our education system in Denmark targets the education of the whole person. It is not about studying for some test. It is about understanding the subject and yet remains critical to it.

Even a full year in a United States High School is not rewarded with credits once the student returns home. The level of education is just too different.

Today we are very aware of the fact that it is important to prevent fauna pollution. Various cultures do not mix well.

If a Danish Television channel should consider taking this concept up, I will create a protest group at once.

I happen to be very close to crying when I saw this torment Jono and Bailey was forced to undergo, which for Jono’s case even went to far to altering his appearance. I have spoken to not so few where just like a thing like shaving your beard is something which is against the religious belief and even that was not respected.

I don’t know what is wrong with the entertainment business these years. It seems like it is a question about topping the amount of abuse and torment in every show. There were Brat Camp where one of the participants became victim of happy slapping when he returned home so he was forced into hiding. Then we had Exiled where the participants went to countries where people are held ransom or countries which were in civil war just months after they left.

Now this!

Will it ever stop? Can we not settle by living happily in our countries without learning about what other people are doing, so our youth can focus on what it best in their lives?

The most cruel history this summer

A Danish woman is going to be extradited to the United States due to some claims of her participating in some kind of drug operation.

But the police in the United States won't send the papers needed to explain what she is charged with. They just demanded her to participate in kind of show trial.

But is those documents correct. It would not be the first time Danish courts are fooled by American papers. Kirsten Chesnut discovered how her child was stolen from her and while he is now 18 and can travel to see his mother a lot of opotunities and a bright future were stolen from him.

Even when her son Christian made it into an university with a scholership, it is nothing compared with the level of education he could have got in Denmark if the Danish court system hadn't made this terrible error back then.

It is common knowledge that Danish students who take a year in High School in the United States cannot get credits they can use in a Danish High School. The level of education in Denmark is simply too high. It is not the level in a single subject that is the problem. They don't simply teach whole people in the United States. They train to pass a test or exam. They have no social life as alcohol is forbidden for youth under 21 where we in Denmark need to apply a certain level of security so our students can spot a youth not drinking - a potential suicide bomber - at distance. A very important matter in a time where we have a war on terrorism where the criminals most important weapon is road side bombs and suicide bombers.

So Christian Chesnut and his mother had their lives destroyed.

Not it is another woman - Camilla Broe - who is facing what will result in her death, if she choose to seek justice.

Most people in the Danish legal world recommend her to seek a plea bargain, because a trial could take years. If she accept whatever charges they can invent - true or not - she can return to Denmark within 6 months, where she will get a new sentence which based on the fact that she hasn't committed any crimes since her arrival in Denmark many years ago would be a suspended sentence.

It won't be justice but with a primitive justice system like Florida where kids are being crushed every day, none can expect better.

So it is not a happy summer in Denmark this year and the cases have meant that people in Denmark are beginning to question both our participation in the war on terrorism, our soldiers presence in Afghanistan and even our membership of NATO

Two types of awful television.

I happen to have seen two of the most disgusting TV-shows in my life this recent month.

First I watched the Danish version of the American TV-show Intervention. It Denmark it is called Ultimatum and the concept is that the family confronts the suffering abuser with two option: It is either treatment right now or a total cut-off from the family. While it is a new type of entertainment to broadcast in Denmark, it is also digusting to watch. Because it is not a matter of the abuser being ready to deal with the addiction. It is a choice between two kind of evilness. Either loose the support network or surrender to some kind of unknown and unsearched cultlike treatment. Treatment that in some cases has proven deadly because it is largely an unregulated area. Is that a free choice? Experts state that is not.

Here in Denmark we always were used to that people controlled their own destiny. They have free choices. Among those choices were also the right to destroy their own life. If they wanted to eat the best meat, drink the finest wine and enjoy the finest desert every day until they are overweigth and died from it, it is their choice.

After we have joined the European Union, Denmark have under pressure to a slow change where the free choices are no longer allowed. They pressured our parliament to pass a law with a lower limit on blood alcohol content so Swedish workers could work in Denmark without the social pressure to drink more than they generically are able to. In Sweden the alcohol purchase is heavily controlled and we are used to that they end up drunk down in Elsinore harbor and have to be carried aboard the ferry back to their homeland. Often they do that just by drinking skin milk. We have lowered our limit from the natural 0,08% to 0,05% so they wont kill people while driving home.

They have forced us to introduce a age limit on alcohol and tobacco purchase on 16 and 18 years. In Denmark it has been the custom for more than 200 years for youth to start enjoying these things when they are confirmed aged 14 or 15.

When we are seeing such TV-shows in Denmark it is a serious warning about that our culture is under international pressure and that we need to get our lazy butt out of the couch and vote for a person who wants to pull Denmark out of the European Union.

It is tomorrow. Remember to vote!

The other TV-show I watched was not broadcasted in Denmark. Thanks!

It is the TV-show: The world's strictest parents. You can see it on Youtube for the moment.

The consept is simple. You take two socalled unruly and troubled teenagers and exile them to strict parents far away.

These two teenagers were sent to Alabama to so religious parents, that I was wondering if they really were sent to Iran. Any minute I expected them to return home with a bomb belt strapped to their waste as we have seen it here in Europe.

They were forced to participate in volunteerwork, which is something you have when your country lack some steps in the development so such needs by homeless or others are solved by raising taxes. It was an huge example of disrespect on those two teenagers. In their developed country they pay taxes instead of doing volunteer work and while they were abroad they shouldn't be forced to take on local customs. In Denmark we are used to that some of the immigrants bring the violence they are used to back home to Denmark and while we don't like it, we recognize that it is the price of integration and being able to operate in a globalized world.

The productivity become far higher in a country if you let professionels handle social problems and leave the rest of the population unaware about what is going on, so they can use their time on start firms, work hard in their jobs and inventing products so the country can be in the frontline. That's a lesson we have learned and other countries can learn. The amount of volunteer workers have never been so low as it is in Denmark right now and we are handling the international finansial crisis far better than most nations.

Of course we have some volunteers but it is mostly lonely elderly people who wants to socialize. Basically they are not doing it to help others, but to avoid social isolation which is helping themselves.

So it was a nasty TV-show and it is my hope that we somehow will prevent such show to be broadcast in Denmark. We need to preserve our unique culture and that is yet another reason to step up and take responsbility and vote for a person who wants to pull our nation from the European Union, so we can get the Denmark we once knew back!

Please vote tomorrow June 7, 2009

Trigger-happy bastards

A couple of students wanted to film a movie as part of a school project. They wrote the airport in Copenhagen and asked for permission to film a movie on the airports property.

They got the permission and then all things were supposed to run smoothly.

It didn't

"Armed" student causes terrorist alarm, Politiken

Then I have to ask: What kind of movie did they believe the students was supposed to shoot? It is rather obivious that the script called for a gun.

The students was treated unfairly and once again the authorities showed that Denmark has lost the war against terrorism. We might as well redraw our troops from Afghanistan because the terrorists has won the moral war. We are a population living in pure fear!!!

It is not the first time our police overreacted. When the police helped a rather fundamentalist group to tear down the Ungdomshuset, the police confiscated a computer due to a exam task over nutrition

The written assignment was named "Riot or Diet". Riot was at that time a forbidden word in Denmark. Just putting it on print was reason enough to the destroy the future of this young student because without turning it in, she was unable to graduate forever because she would be so old when she was finished that she would't have years enough to pay off her student debts. A life destroyed due to just one word!

I don't know how it came to this stage of panic in Denmark. Maybe it is all the drive-by shootings conducted by immigrants because they want to control the drug market. Maybe it is the fact that a huge part of immigrants drove around in our streets celebrating 9/11.

But we have lost the most important we have left. We have forgotten not to take thing serious. It is very important when you pay more than 50 percent in income tax and have no access to early retirement longer. Just monday another woman was sentenced for using the b-word at the security when she was asked a leading question as if a terrorist will answer truthfully about this subject.

I have decided not to go near an airport in the future and I will advice everyone to do the same. It is just not worth risk prison just because our instict will cause us joke about the harassment we are put through.

I fear for my children

Just yesterday it was published that gangs rekruts youth from every part in our society. At the same time the so-called prevention commision wants to raise the purchase age for alcohol to 18.

Because youth wants to hang out and find unity, they become easy target for the rekruters which will provide them with alcohol and drugs if they cannot buy alcohol in the stores.

In some parts of Jutland younger children aged around 13-15, who used to drink when their parents sent them down to the shop to buy beers have turned to crimes and they steal boxes of beer from peoples sheds.

Why criminalize our youth. I decided to live here in Denmark because this country were known for its freedom to do what they want within the borders of the law. I have lovely wife, but it a man choose to live with a man, they can get papers on each other down at the town hall - almost as a marriage.

It seems that Denmark is on a slow path forward to a dictatorship.

Even the question how people wants to dress is adressed as if they were living in Iran. At some schools they don't want trousers that expose skin because they fit badly. As one out of three siblings I often got clothes, which was too small for my older brother. It was often too large for me, but I had to wear it anyway. All those rules. I am beginning to understand why every third of the students in our 9'th grade have been missing the last 14 days.

But also in town certain dresses can prevent you from getting inside. It is rather odd, because this socalled "Strudhætte" have been worn for more than 500 years. It is an old tradition.

I am beginning to fear that we force the youth into the hands of the gangs. What meaning does the words of Jesus have today? Did he not say: "Let the children come to me"?

Let us accept that youth are different. The reason for establishing such a government thing was Denmark was decleared one of the happiest nations to live in some years back.

Denmark is a part of the European Union and they complained because the deal about this cooperation is that all nations have to be equal. They call it harmonization. So our government was forced to act so we would not be kicked out.

They have called for heavier restriction on tobacco. Today most boarding schools allows smoking outside. It benefits teamworks and the youth learn to know each other. It is easy to break the ice of silence when you are new and nervous in a boarding school when you offer a cigarette to a student.

They also want to raise the ban on alcohol purchase from 16 to 18 with no regards of the dangers it puts on the streets if youth can drive without knowing the dangers of alcohol in advance. They want to fight our alcohol culture. I find that they are trying to suck all joy out of life and creating a foundation a more extremist.

If you go some posts back you will learn that my son was detained at one of our continuation schools also called "Efterskole" in Danish. We were so lucky that he was able to be released before they raised the age limit for tobacco purchase to 18, but I still feel bad for those kids left behind and their parents who are facing a rather difficult logistic problem. All that suffering for no reason. At the school my son "attended" they learned to know eachother rather well when they smoke during breaks outside. As harsh as the program was with no alcohol allowed and fixed bedtimes (Unbelievable when we was talking year 2008), he made friends at this isolated and godforsaken place. He didn't left without scares. Nightmares are still a huge part of his life, which he has to thank them for, but the team work and the unity he met during the breaks was the one factor which made him decide to live instead of die.

I fear for your youth. If they make it harder to purchase alcohol they will turn to obtain something to party on by criminals. Criminals who will sell them drugs. Drugs that finance the on-going attacks made by youth gangs on Biker gangs.

Raising the alcohol purchase age will result in more crimes. It will properly result in an increased number of drug-users. It will properly result in more crimes.

So why do these things?

At least the policians in our parliament were quick to proclaim that they would not touch any of these suggestions. I guess they know that they have to be re-elected if they want to keep their jobs.

Sources:
Denmark: The Happiest Place on Earth
Alcohol culture in Denmark
Commission: Rich and smart drink most - The Prevention Commission has declared battle on Denmark’s alcohol culture. So we all start texting because the quality of handsfree solutions under 50 dollars are poor. That means more danger in trafic than hand-held phones if you ask me.

Speeding is considered something to be proud off if you ask around inside Danish firms. When an employee is speeding he is also showing that how faithful the employee is toward both his colleagues and firm. The government is asking for an increase in unemployment and outsourcing of jobs abroad. Why sending more jobs to foreign countries? We send all our old ships to India already when they are sold for scrap, but ships are big in size. There is no profit in sending smaller items to the third world for scrapping.

This scare-tactics of our government is un-danish and we cannot recover from the present economical crisis if we all run around scared.

But it seems that our politicians has lost touch with the population and a solution to how we can regain the connection to them will demand too much from a beaten nation. So we have no choice but to live in fear.

I am afraid all the time.

Civil war in Denmark

Right now Denmark is suffering from a civil war. I am almost afraid to leave my house. I am only doing the necessary shopping. How did this civil war start? Here is some background information:

Back in the 1980's Hell Angels entered Denmark and started a war with an all Danish biker club called Bullshit. After introducing machineguns they wiped out Bullshit and took over the drug market which until 2003 was concentrated in a part of Copenhagen which proclaimed their independence of the Danish laws in 1971 (Christiania).

In 1994 the second gang war started. This was called the Great Nordic Biker War. This time they used weapons left behind by the Red army. We were talking anti-tank rockets and of course machine guns. Our army was tied up in Bosnia and the biker gangs outgunned the police forces 10 times. The Danish police did however increase their firepower and political pressure and threats of recalling our army meant that the Tinndahn-Nielsen peace agreement was made in 1997.

This agreement divided the drug market in Denmark between the two groups.

Some years ago our present government invaded Christiania and closed Pusher Street. A huge percentage of our police force is now tied as an occupying force limiting their capacity in relationship with other police business.

The same year the age limit for alcohol purchase limit was raised from 15 to 16. As result of the invasion the drug market were spread out all over our country. Where the police in the old days stood at the border and fined people for drug use, drugs are now sold in every school all over our country.

But not only is the closure of Pusher Street to blame. Danes are introduced to alcohol by their parents aged 14 or 15 when they are confirmed. With the old age limit they could purchase alcohol in the shops without disturbing their parents. Personally I have no problems with a teen aged 14 drinking alcohol, but here kids are generally polite and leave us alone instead of asking for the same thing all day. Unfortunately the difficult access to alcohol means that they turn to drugs instead. We are now talking of 2 drugs users in every class-room when they are leaving middle school. We have a European statistic here.

After the second gang war the biker clubs became lazy. New groups of second generation youth coming from the Middle East entered the market. They are youth who celebrate 9/11 as a victory.

The official Denmark asked the media to start the Cartoon war. The cartoons were based on Herge's masterpiece from 1930 of a journalist from Belgium visiting the Central Republic of Congo. Our victory was huge, but it didn't scare the youth gangs away.

Last year the third gang war started and now people in certain parts of Copenhagen are strip-search both by the police and the youth gangs when they enter parts of Denmark no longer under control by the central government in Copenhagen. As ordinary and peaceful citizens we are placed in a loose-loose situation.

1) The police have given extra powers to strip-search people without reason. They can detain people for 6 hours as preventive detention. They don't have to bring charges forward and don't need to involve the court-system. The damage for ordinary citizens are huge if they are recognized by family, colleagues or business partners because it means guilt in the eyes of the public if a person has business with the police without protesting loudly. If we choose to leave our house our reputation and career could be damaged beyond repair.

2) If the youth gangs find tattoos or people are unshaved looking like a member of a biker gang undercover they are attacked with knife or guns.

3) In towns outside Copenhagen locals attack strangers. Several yokels attacked a college with foreigners because they had been insulted by people from Iceland. Unfortunately they started to shoot at people from Poland. In Denmark a person is regarded as a stranger if this person chooses to move more than 50 kilometers from his or her hometown.

Right now we are prisoners in our own home. We are waiting whether our government decides to pull our forces from the 11'th Christian crusade in Afghanistan. The gang war is now a full scale civil war. Just yesterday the police created a strip-search zone in Esbjerg in Jutland.

Just the last 48 hours, two people have been shot. One of them died. I am going to shut doors and windows and limit my time outside the home to a minimum.

Cut off from my family

Early 2009 the central government in Denmark introduced new speed traps. They are unmanned and consist only of a pillar placed near the road with a camera.

Now I have to use a full day to visit my family. I live in the northern part of Sealand and my family lives in the southern part.

Thanks God for the internet. I will try to visit them once or twice per year.

However I am not alone. A lot of families are broken up due to this new ban in traffic outside the high ways.

I dont know why they suddenly would interfere in a lot of people lives in that way. It is not only family being forced to break up. It is also a question about infrastructure. This is going to cost jobs! Several experts are talking of about 250,000 - 500,000 people out of job in January 2010.

Why? We know about the dangers on our roads. We accept that mobility cost lives. We don't expect living very long and there is no reason for it when they have cut in the early retirement and the politicians refers to retired people as the burden of elderlies.

Totally unaccepted. Students with likely commnunist connection arranged a charity where students in High School became truant for a day and worked in various businesses and send the money they earned to specific projects in the third world.

First some of the project chosen by the group behind this event has been critised for being a cover of terrorism. Most of the teenagers today know very little about Nicaragua where left wing terrorist did overthrow the happy government, which had ruled the country for many years starting a period with killings and riots. Recently they supported regions of Mexico where drug lords also operate and the police are trying to bring order to the society by introducing a zero-tolorance policy. I could write for long about several other reasons for not supporting this project, but I will leave it to others representing both the right and left side in our parliament.

The most important question is: Why support third world contries at all?

I have to ask this question because:

1) We have a lot of problems in Denmark which should be solved. We have no early retirement more. It was this single welfare benefit, which was the keystone in our welfare society. Without it, it is almost impossible to claim that we still are a welfare society. Why not start to help those in our society, who suffers every day?

2) Aid to third world countries do often damage more that they help. When people gets things for free, why should they go out in the field and work? People becomes lazy when they are helped all the time. Some third world countries have realized that. India are trying to send people to the moon. It cost a lot, while people die from hunger. When the tsumani hit back in 2004 India was ready to provide aid to other countries while their own population suffered. They were smart because they realized that the torment would enable their own population to work hard to regain their former status and put them in front in the global outsource business where they already are a huge player. They do not redistribuate their goods like most western countries do. They let the poor starve and even die, so the population are forced to work and be competitive.

3) Corruption takes their part. Corruption is normally a good thing which enables the businesses to pull themselves up and try to understand the mecanismes in the market they enter. Employees in a Danish firm was cleared in relationship with their export adventure in Germany because the court acknowledged that corruption was a tool in the market down there. If they hadn't done it, they could have stayed at home from the very start. The verdict enabled a lot of Danish firms to enter this market.

Thats why the recent news about the danish students failing supporting this project and use the day for sleeping out binge drinking from the evening before or simply work for their own good is a good news.

It shows insight when it comes to global issues and it promises good times in the years to come, when we at some point decide to solve the problems our society suffers from.

I am so proud of the new generation of Danes.

Mere end et spørgsmål om nogle få familiesammenføringer

This post is in the Danish language because it concerns only Danes:

Så selvfølgelig måtte man have denne regel.

Pain

I am tormented by pain.

My teeth are hurting and that is bad.

Denmark is a welfare country. At least the politicians claim that our country still maintain that status regardless the fact that the early retirement, which was the foundation in our system have been targeted for several serious cuts.

In a welfare society vital treatment are offered for free. Regardless what kind of illness I could be having - even problems with the heart are cured for free.

But the teeth are seen as purely cosmetic treatment, so that why so many Danes like me have to suffer in silence.

You can always decide whether a Dane is rich or poor by looking at his or her teeth. In some case you can smell it. People who for one reason go bankrupt can only get help to the dentist from the authorities if they are able to prove that they have been paying customers for at least 10 years before their mishap occurred.

Danish dentists are also among the most expensive in Europe. People who have been able to bring a translator abroad to assist them explaining the problem to the foreign dentist can save up to 50 percent.

Unfortunately I don't have this option. Sweden would have been the natural choice, no sub-standard like in the Eastern Europe, where they are recovering from 50 years of communist rule. Sweden has the same standard as here in Denmark. However there is a problem. Even Swedish people are hard to understand and until recently the Danish language was forbidden.

So risking getting the wrong tooth treated is not worth it.

So like more than a million Danes I have to suffer in quietness.

It hurts a lot. Two old filling made by the an old over-the-hill school dentist who everyone knew on held that position due to his connections to the city hall are to be replaced.

A root-channel job on the right side did not turn out as my dentist anticipated. A gold crown broke off in the left side. So my pain comes from all over my mouth. I can only eat and drink very little.

That how it is for a poor Dane.

But if you ask me if it is worth having the pain just to remain in Denmark, I have to answer yes.

We have so many other things to be happy off.

My children can drink alcohol in public once they have been confirmed and they can buy it on their own, once they turn 16. If they stay together with other youth doing the same, they are not like all too many people on this planet in risk of being blown up by a suicide bomber.

My children don’t have to care about grades. There is no pressure on them if they choose to underachieve. They belong to the working class like me. We have given up battling the social heritage. The result has been a peaceful society where the lack of competition results in lesser crime and more peace.

Is that not worth if the price is severe pain every single day?

Yes: At any time!

The trip

Our daughter was supposed to stay 3 weeks in United Kingdom as a part of a language course. She has been talking about this trip for almost a year. She had no doubt in her mind. If anyone had, it was we parents.

We have taught our children to be Danes. Regardless of our background as foreigners, we have always felt that it was our duty to educate our children as Danes. We have proof that our children have been successful. They have attended numerous bag-parties and are very well socialized.

But one thing is to live and be successful in Denmark another is to attempt a transmission of these skills into another and I have to state not so developed culture.

So as any other parent to well-adjusted youths in a time where patriotism is the very answer to the survival of a small nation in the European elite project called the European Union, we had reasonable doubt about how our daughter would deal with her first trip alone outside Denmark and we decided to plan an “Exit plan”.

She went. Well arrived she faced the first obstacle – the students on the school had to wear uniform. It was only a T-shirt, but wearing uniform is a sign of failure in Denmark. Uniforms are reserved for people in low-paid jobs, who ended up in a McJob career taking a path nowhere.

She cried when she phoned home. It was clear that she was broken, but we urged her to give the stay a second chance and try to socialize with some of the other students. But then she met a second and insurmountable obstacle. The normal way for a young Dane to socialize with other youth – over a couple of beers – was not allowed. Faced with weeks of isolation, we talked with her and decided to make use of the “Exit Plan”. We pulled her according to the advice experts have given for stays by Danish youth in foreign countries.

She has now returned to Denmark and we love to have her home. She seems by all aspect unharmed, which we contribute to the fact that we pulled her before the 14-days limit.

However, the trip was not a waste.

First it made her value her home, her parents more. It brought us closer as a family.

Second but not least it removed any doubt in her mind about her identity as a Dane. Some claims that it take generations to be fully adjusted into the Danish society and I have to agree that some foreigners like me are not prepared to sacrifice the traditions from their origins, which is a absolute must if you truly wants to be called a Dane.

Our daughter became a integrated Dane. She learned to value her dearest and all it took was a little stay in another country.

Do not state that nothing can be learned abroad.

Cheated of early retirement

I thought that I had planned my life, but now I am facing an uncertain future.

Back in the 1970 the present prime minister Anker Joergensen finished 80 years of hard work establishing the Danish welfare society by introducing early retirement for people, who have been worn down by hard labor.

So the cleaning lady or worker in factory could retire early when they became 60 years of age.

It is often claimed the introducing of early retirement both finished the welfare society in Denmark and is the compoment that keeps it together. Without early retirement there would not be basis for Denmark being called a nation with a welfare society.

I have planned my life as a hard worker on retirement at that age.

But lately the last two governments in office have found out that the cost of conducting our war in Afghanistan (Our 11th. crusade some knows as the war against terrorism) and our effort of fulfilling the Official Development Assistance have proven to be so costly.

They have to find the money somewhere and because the term of describing retired people in Denmark is "the burden of the elderly" the early retirement was targeted.

Now I like most of the people of my age would be punished if we retire before the age of 62. Hard working like it is expected of people with my background from a working class family without the possibility of a higher education, my health is already failing and I am not even 50.

Two years may seem like a little time for most, but for people with a history in the family of hearth diseases and cancer, it is forever.

My life has fallen apart. Now I live from one day to another without the ability to plan ahead. I have lost all faith in an retirement at some point.

And I am not the only one. Our nation are also under pressure. Stories about diapers being turned and used twice for number 1 in retirement homes are not uncommon. Our society is under pressure and I am thinking of finding another place to live my final years.

It is just hard.

Why it is hard to adjust being an immigrant

I moved to this country, now best known for their cartoons 10 years ago.

I learned their language. I allowed my family to adjust to their strange costums.

Now I feel beaten somehow.

First example:

I have a lot of kids - alot. It have never been a problem before, but suddenly new seatbeltsrules came into action. The government demanded that every child in the car should have their own seat belt.

I need three cars to transport my children!

I know that ethnic Danes only have about 2 children. I regards this new law as a racist invention to target the mobility of us immigrants.

Second example:

I choosed Denmark because of their high standard of education. First of all danish students have a team spirit like I have never seen anywhere before and I have travelled the world.

They use a term called "hygge" where they sit together and drink a few beer - even children down to 12-13 year of age as I have seen them sitting in parks and along beaches. In fact it is an old tradition for the parents to introduce their child to alcohol at an age of 14 when the child is confirmed. (With Gods approval so to say).

So the youth drink and socialize. They start to care for each other. In a drunken state they confide to each other, so when they put a team together they know what both the strength and weakness are for each team-member, but the boss also know what the employees think about him and it doesn't need to be positive. Even a negative view can be useful because then there are not time wasted on cover-ups and lies.

So I allowed my son to socialize with the Danish youth and he showed good results. So good in fact that I gave up a job offer in the States, because they couldn't offer schools with similar standard.

The the disaster happened. My son "borrowed" my car and the social worker decided (due to my status as a foreigner) that my son should attend a school in the other end of the country. (Denmark have very few juvenile facilities. The authorities use the so-called "continuation school" for punishment instead of jail and it works because Danes regards everyone being born more than 20 kilometers away as "strangers", which all the community should be looking for. Some of the parents of my colleagues have moved to another part of Denmark and even their children are regarded as strangers (It is for some reason worse if you move from East to West. Sealand is called the "Devil Island" by people in Jutland.)

So my son ended up in Jutland and he suffered, but as I told him "Do the crime, do the time". I don't know if 10 months away from home for driving without licence is a harsh punishment in other countries, but all I would have gotten as adult was a fine.

All that brought our familiy closer together. He is very lonely because our lawyer recommended that he sould avoid as much contact as possible because in criminal enviroment they exchange knowledge, which can result in a life of crime. Now a new problem has arised. He is a smoker and it is legal because Denmark have a 16 year limit on tobacco purchase.

But the government are thinking of changing this to 18 years and the school don't want to have tobacco on their property, he is suffering. We have been meeting with the authorities about a pardon, so he can return home where we can buy him tobacco and our hopes are up. But somehow I feel betrayed.

Legal access to alcohol and tobacco for my kids was something I moved to Denmark for. They had so much success with this approach.

In fact in Denmark it is normal that the kids committing crimes are the kids, who don't drink.

I thought that I had found a free country. Now I am in doubt.
